What do your friends think of your Ant Addiction?

My roommate and another friend of mine think it's odd but they find my geeky ant talk adorable.

The roommate said if I ever keep a colony of fire/stinging ants she's never living with me again xD
Fortunately she doesn't mind my little chubby-butt winter ants.

The small friend group I still talk to think it's, again, strange but adorable.

I ran into a lady who helped me find tubing at Home Depot who was utterly fascinated, and she asked me a whole bunch of questions. We exchanged phone numbers and her kids apparently went home and watched AntsCanada's YouTube channel for hours! Spreading the ant love!

Though I do feel really self-conscious at the pet store, where I kid you not all of the associates are girly-girl looking types. Not to sound like I'm stereotyping, but, when I went to get mealworms today she was like OH WHAT KIND OF REPTILE DO YOU HAVE and I just kind of shuffled and muttered 'I have a small ant colony' real soft.

I could tell she was trying not to look at me weird. I don't really care, tbh, if someone doesn't like my adorable ant babies, but I'm naturally shy.
