Place on needle and then encast0e in resin. Just make sure it has no bubbles. Polish it and you have the perfect display from all sides that can't be messed up by handling.larynx wrote:does anyone have experience preserving ants for display?

Polyester casting resin. its easy to use and your can buff it out to a clear finish. You Need to have something to use as a mold, we use to use a plastic ice tray as the mold beings it can flex to release the casting after it dries and also if we wanted to prank someone we could toss one in a drink. LOL Yes I'm evil like that. You can find youtube videos and instructions just by searching google. Have fun!
BTW... When my fav Emperor Scorpion dies I casted him so he would always be on my desk....... Damned if I know where it is now though.
