What are your favorite ants to keep

Im new to this, but very excited to get a couple colonies up and running. I was wondering what are some of the "best" ants to keep and why. I have a couple Camponotus queens one Pennsylvanicus and one noveboracensis. I will definitely keep one of them because I like the idea of big ants and getting majors. But they take quite a while to get going. So im also looking for something a bit faster growing as well. Im in Wi so Formica spp, Tetramorium, Lasius interjectus, Lasius alienus, Solenopsis molesta are still possibilities this year or Prenolepis impairs next spring. Im sure there are more as well.

So what are your Favs and what are the pros and cons to your choice. Anything I should stay away from?

I love Formica ants. They are fast moving , aggressive to prey, and fast growing. My friend had a colony of these ants and loved them so much. I hope I catch a queen of these genus this year.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

I love keeping Pheidole sp. As they are fast-growing, have majors, and are small so can easily fit into any formicarium. Plus they are found almost world-wide!
Currently caring for a Lasius Niger colony :D
