Feed Queen?
Hello everybody! In April I caught a Fire ant queen. She laid eggs a few weeks ago and has a pretty decent brood pile. I believe she may be eating her larvae as there has only been eggs for a while now. Should I feed her a drop of honey and risk her eating or brood or should I leave her be for a few weeks?

Try checking on her less, she could be eating her brood because she is stressed.Antmanboy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 11:22 pmHello everybody! In April I caught a Fire ant queen. Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
