Prenolepis Nitens Hibernation

Hi ı have a small prenolepis nitens colony but ı dont know how to hibernate it. Also do i have to take outside in winter or hibernate it ?

I would recommend lowering the temperature in the room they are kept. Putting them outside might not be a good idea because you might lose them because of different factors. Some ant keepers put their ants in the fridge, I don’t personally do it. Try one of those options.
Why don’t more people like ants?
Is anyone from Wyoming who wants to sell ants?

I don't know much about Prenolepis nitens, but based on my knowledge of Prenolepis imparis, they do not hibernate.
I would just leave them in your room all season, and if they need to estivate they will.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
