Unsure of species and if it is a queen
Hello Friends! I recently caught a queen well I’m about 90% sure it is I live in Southern California and I found it on the pavement around 4 PM but I’m unsure of what species it is, if someone could help me I would really appreciate it i’m super new to ant keeping

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

100% a queen, but I don't live in California, so I am relatively unfamiliar with the ants that live there. Yep. Needs heat at like 85 F to survive and lay eggs.
