Don’t cause vibrations to the tube. Most Camponotus can found in light, and a matter of the fact, Tar Heel ants founds all its Camponotus queens in lightImalonlyantIma wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 3:39 pmHey i just got my first carpenter ant queen and i really dont know what to do can i have some advice

As carpenter ants are fully claustral she won’t need food until her first workers arrive. To keep her from over stressing only check on her about once a week. I don’t know much about c. Modoc though, so, for better info you can search for care sheets. Sorry I couldn’t be so helpful.ImalonlyantIma wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 3:39 pmHey i just got my first carpenter ant queen and i really dont know what to do can i have some advice

Camponotus can be kept in regular light, with a little cover. This is actually how companies like Tar Heel Ants raise theirs. Camponotus also can take a bit of time to lay eggs, so be patient. I had a queen that took 3 weeks to lay eggs…AntsInMB wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 7:30 pmAs carpenter ants are fully claustral she won’t need food until her first workers arrive. It depends on the queen, I also have a closely related species of the one that took three weeks that took 4-5 days.AntsInMB wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 9:54 pmFunny, my c.
