Got the first set of eggs!!!!!

Hey everyone. So, my citronella ant queen has her first set of laid eggs. I just checked on her today after a week of not checking on her. So, I was VERY excited to see a few eggs in there.

Just a reminder, some species of queens you can check on every day until they have eggs. It may slow down egg laying but it usually doesn’t cause a huge problem, unless the species is prone to stress easily.

And nice queen. She's gorgeous. I could be mistaken on the species. That was just what I came up with when looking at species in my area. I certainly hope it is. The yellow workers are a dream species of mine.

The species isn’t know to live in your area(Ant wiki). I thought she had an expanded gaster due to eggs, but no, that’s how they normally look apparently.
