So I'm just minding my own business and then I see an ant (solenopsis invicta minor, for all of those who want to know) and that reminds me to check on my queens. So I take them out one by one from the folds of a bath towel (it acts as a tube rack. Also keeps them dark)
Anyway I had previously known that I had one queen with 4 nanitics. Well I happened to find 3 other queens with nanitics. One had 10+ workers! I didn't even know how many workers I had. So now I'm in the process of moving the largest colony into a new tube, as theirs was moldy.
The weirdest thing happened today.

Re: The weirdest thing happened today.
Hope everything went well. What's the current situation and progress of the colony?
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
