How do I clean glass tanks?

Hi, I have recently realized that the soil I used in my terrarium came with mites. I have taken the soil out and have gotten ready to sterilize it. But how do I clean the glass tank from the dirt? Also, how do I get the dirt out of the roots of the plants I bought, how do I sterilize the rocks and pebbles that I am going to use, and how do I sterilize artificial plants and rocks? Plz reply to this as I need to do this as soon as possible. Thank you.

Those mites you see are good mites and will actually help your ants.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

I don't know what mites they are first because I don't know what they look like and second because there is no picture. They may or may not be harmful.

I don't know how to sterilize dirt however you could use dirt you bought at the pet store. However it could be that you need to buy fertilizers that might contain pesticides which in turn kill ants. I don't know if dirt you can buy at a home depot contains pesticides too but you could check with the staff if they know.

For plants it should be enough to take them and shake off the soil they came with. Maybe even while running water through however when replanting it could be that the roots get damaged due to the roots growing into the soil and now they have to regrow into the soil which in turn also means that they may die after a few days / weeks due to not getting enough nutritions from the soil.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
