I was just thinking about it. if a species of ants like bullet ants work on a gamergate system (hopefully the spelling of gamergate is correct) and I am just walking around and find a bullet ant worker I catch her and continue walking and find a different colony of bullet of same species and I catch male ant of that colony and keep them together, will they mate? I know that in the nest only the superior ant worker is allowed to mate but taking that the ant you catch is no longer with her colony.l, will she think to start a new colony herself? I will not try this but I just want to ask that is it possible?
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony

It's probably not going to work as Diacamma workers are made sterile by the gamergate as soon as they eclose. The colonies spread via colony fission which is one part of the colony breaks off with a gamergate and some workers to create a new colony, the other colony will still have a fertilized gamergate laying eggs.
