I was wondering what the chances of a newly caught, wingless queen ant being fertile is?

It is very likely that a queen with no wings is pregnant.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony

Just remember that is not the best indicator to tell if they are pregnant.

75% of the time if they do not have wings it means she is fertile

What do you use then? Do you look for a large abdomen? Do you look around the area that you found her to see if there is a nest of the same species close by? Do you use the date? Do you use the way they walk?

Even if a queen has wings there is a good chance she is fertile some queens will keep their wings for a long time some will even keep them the rest of their life.
