Desert ants and reptiles?

Im trying to build a desert bioactive home for my beardy but im finding mixed answers on a good cleanup crew. Ive heard that ants are one of the main cleaners in the desert, so i guess my question is, would adding ants to my set up even be plausible?

Thank you in advance!

I am a really experienced reptile keeper and unfortunately say no. Your bearded dragon can eat them and even get sick. It will also be harder to take care of them both since ants need different requirements than bearded dragons. Hope this helps :P Ant love forever!!!

Not 100% sure what the post above mine is trying to say.. :?

HOWEVER, I would be reluctant to put ants and beardies in the same enclosure. You wont be able to care of the ants for starters and the beardie will try to eat them. The other issue being that the enclosure for your reptile might not be suitable for keeping ants INSIDE.
Then there is the other issue of hydration and monitoring the ant nest which you won't be able to do easily .
PErsonally I would be reluctant to try this approach.
