Is there any wild insects which are safe to feed to ants?
I ask this because my lasius queen is about to have her first workers and i of course need to start feeding the colony. or is somekind of meat ok . i could use feeder insects, but i`m just curious

If you give wild food a good freeze, that is generally enough to kill any parasites they might have. That just leaves the danger of pesticide exposure.
