When they will need food, they will come out. If you overfeed them, they will storage the food and will not come out often.

They are feeling safe. It is normal.

Recently, I moved one of my lasius ant colonies into a terrarium with sand and rocks. It also has a ytong nest below the soil, I didn't give them access to it yet, because their colony isn't big enough yet. So, they remained in the test tube covered with aluminium foil. Overnight they closed the only entrance to the test tube with sand and they're not coming out. I can't feed them like this. How to get them to forage the outworld for food?

Small colonies don't need very much food. Also, small colonies sometimes like their setup more enclosed and secure, as they often feel insecure and vulnerable.
