I have a lasius ant colony living in a terrarium with some plants and a ytong underground and a layer of soil above. I want the ants to live in the ytong nest I custom-made, so I can see their activity underground. But there are also plants in the terrarium which I need to water. How do I prevent the ants from nesting in the soil, and still be able to water my plants.
Thanks for helping.

You probably won't be able to. Your ants will likely prefer the soil soil rather than the restrictions of the y-tong nest
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

Is there no way to make the soil less attractive for the ants, or to make the ytong nest more suitable for them?TheRealAntMan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 4:22 pmYou probably won't be able to. Your ants will likely prefer the soil soil rather than the restrictions of the y-tong nest
