One of my brachymyrmex queens was caught with a slightly bent/curved abdomen, and when she isn't moving she looks like she is curled up dead in some positions.
This always freaks me out haha, but then she moves around again and I realize my heart attack was for nothing.
This just amuses me, so I thought I would share lmao
When I caught her I really doubted she would live, because her wing was bent straight upwards and again, her abdomen was injured. Not to mention she was captured from my pool. But thus far the little bendy Queen has been doing well. Hopefully she continues to! As frankly, I have become attached RIP

Glad she is doing well
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Thats pretty funny my first queen would cling on to the cotton and not move for a minute so I would always freak out

Have you fed her?
