Hello, i am new to this family and was hoping if anyone can help me in idetifying this species and if it is indeed a queen.

i caught this ant at the cabin but i wasnt sure if its a queen or a major. i went to search the immediate area and found a colony of similar colored ants about 100 meters away. i didnt find anything that was bigger than this after observing it for a couple hours.
this was at steep rock manitoba canada at around noon.
i've been watching alot of AntsCanada and antsaustralia but sadly there is no GAN farmers at my province so i have no choice but to catch my own queen. hopefully someone can help me get started. thank you!
Please help identifying if queen

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Camponotus Noveboracensis major worker.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
