Hey everyone, I recently found the AntsCanada youtube videos and became fascinated by ant keeping. I work with aquariums for a living, so keeping animals has always been a hobby for me. I remember looking into keeping ants years ago, but there didn't seem to be whole lot of material on the proper ways to do it, so I never pursued it. Now that there is a way to do it properly and easily, I am hooked.
I go on walks pretty frequently through my neighborhood, and have been on the lookout for a queen since learning about them, but so far have not found anything. I assume it may be a little too early to find one. If anyone has any experience on finding queens in the south east, and where the best place to look would be, I would love to hear. Thanks!

Hey! Welcome to the forum. The key to finding queens is to always have a couple of test tubes in your pockets wherever you go
