Hello from South Africa!

I found that they are very strongly semi claustral and like some space to go hunt for food. My previous attempts I didn't give them the right conditions in the small outworld and that caused their demise.

My outworld is 100mx100mx110mm I think. Should be fine, right? Queen lays lots of eggs now, but they take awhile to hatch.

That should be good until they are around 25-30 workers. Mine is currently in an outworld that is 300mmx150mmx150mm and it is working great for them!

Nice, is it homemade or did you buy it? If so from who? Ac outworlds have a port a bit off the ground and they don’t climb so that would need a lot of substrate for that….

Home made. In South Africa we only have AntsSA that is supplying enclosures and nests currently. And importing is insanely expensive for any of the the overseas vendors unfortunately.

Home made. In South Africa we only have AntsSA that is supplying enclosures and nests currently. And importing is insanely expensive for any of the the overseas vendors unfortunately.

I know, over here we only have AC, which ain’t the best when it comes to my species. We have another acrylic nest place, but I haven’t tried them.
