Pavement Ant Question
So I live in Florida and I found a large pavement ant colony inside a mechanical room at work. There are industrial water pumps and chillers in the room so it is around 95-100F in there right now. The space is completely enclosed. I have not found any signs of flights from that colony. My question is, will the colony have nuptial flights while being in an indoor area? I have found one dead fire ant queen in the room. I am brand new to this and would like to start a colony for my son to enjoy. Thanks!

Re: Pavement Ant Question
There might be a tiny opening through which ants could enter? Ants can sense when its raining so i guess it triggered their mating mode
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony
