Re: Hello
My ants don’t want to change there nest they r living in the test tube and don’t want to build there nest in the sand below. My farm has a terrarium on top and a small wall down below with sand inside. And the tube is laying in the terrarium on top.
And now they r living in the tube nearly for 3 weeks now have I done something wrong ?

Re: Hello
You should use soil or wet sand because non-wet sand is very hard for them to tunnel in, the tunnels just collapse. The ants will move in when they are ready, unless they are not because of the sand.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony

Re: Hello
Make sure the sand is wet enough and you will have to make it wet every now and then so it will stay good. If they do not move in that is completely normal and you will just have to wait.

Re: Hello
Ok thank you for ur good advises I hope they will move out someday but I am not gonna pressure them to move
I will try to give the sand enough moisture that the ants can build in there new nest
How is it going with ur ants ?
