Hello from cold wet England...

Been thinking for ages bout trying to keep an ant colony... so finally took the plunge.

Made myself a formicarium and ordered the ants from anthouse.es

I got a colony of messor barbarus, a queen and about 35 workers.

Put them in the formicarium in the test tube and covered it up then after a couple a weeks took the plug out and they moved straight into the ytong nest.
