Thinking about joining the wonderful and interesting world of ant keeping. Likely going to start with something local...I'd love to find myself a mated queen. I just need to research and find out when the various ants in my area are flying. Is there a list/resource that I might be able to check out that could help me figure out when the best time to start searching would be?

At this time look for Prenolepis Imparis and then maybe in a week or two try looking for some Camponotus sp. if you take a 5 minuet walk on the side walk most days to look for queens, you bound to find one. (I've answered this question more at length at other topics so you can try finding one of those.

Oh! I forgot about that! (I used to be on both forums but Formiculture had way too many posts to keep up with.)
