Could you further elaborate on the issue, are they dying of heat or dehydration or something else?

they aren't dying of heat or anything like that I just can't seem to find a good place or time to go looking. If I see the alates at night, does that mean I should be looking for them at night as well?
Some queens are attracted to black lights. Also, you could look in the dark, but it would be tricky.
