Can a Lasius claviger colony get that big? I can't seem to find Lasius umbatus, yet Lasius claviger is common in my area.

i thinks so, im not an expert but i would guess that most smaller ant species that live like lasius neoniger could get that large.

I haven't ever seen a colony that large, probably because most people use pesticides.
