Can you give me a care sheet for Forelius Pruinosus.

Thank you,

-ArizonanAnts
Sure!

Common name: High Noon ant; this is because of the species high activity during the mid-afternoon heat
Species:Pruinosus
Genus:Forelius
Worker size: 2-3 mm
Queen size: 4-5 mm
Color: Light brown
Claustral: Yes, Fully claustral
Diet: EVERYTHING
Polygynous: Very, some nests with 100+ queens
Aggressive: Yes, they grow fast and conquer others if possible
Nesting material: Sun-exposed dirt
Colony size: Medium, but grow fast
Growth Rate: FAST
Sting: No
Bite: No
Acid: Probably, but like all ants it won't hurt you
Care Level: Easy to keep alive, hard to contain (but not as bad as fire ants)
Moisture level: Dry
Nuptial Flights: May-August
Rarity: Common
Escape Artists: Yes, make sure there is a good barrier
Special care: These ants LOVE the heat. Make sure they have heating lamps or pads available. This will boost their growth and make them more active. Also, some information was obtained from dpsdrew's post on Formiculture https://www.formiculture.com/topic/1062-care-sheet-forelius-pruinosus/
Some of My Informative Sheets
https://forum.AntsCanada.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=19099

Hi I've been wondering if we could have ant care sheets for different ant species like what formiculture does. i think this would be a great idea so people can look their to answer the questions they have. also our members are not always on so this will be a way so we can keep their knowledge even if they are not online.
Do you still want to do this caresheet idea? If so I could create a whole new section where we could create a Topic Per Ant Species, where we would add and update information bases on user comments and information. Of course it would take time and just to be sure, I would create a specific account that would start the initial Post which would only have the purpose of creating ne topics in there and Admins / Moderators would need to update the topic if there is new important information to be added.

If well done it will work amazingly nice, if not it will just look like a big mess. ^^'
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Need help or want to help? https://forum.AntsCanada.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=18153#p70566

Currently not keeping any ants anymore.

If you need someone for Eastern USA species, let me know. I would actually love to see this, and that way for beginners requesting help for Lasius Niger/neoniger/americanus, we could quote and link a care sheet.

Wow! Thank you SO MUCH for making this topic! :D
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

This may help, but it’s not for your exact species. If I am not mistaken Lasius interjectus along with most Lasius parasitic ants fall under the category “temporary parasites”

You will most definetly know if and when we are starting this. ;)
