Im just saying we shouldn't put money here just yet. Wait for a few events to see how much attention it gets. If not alot of new people appear, then just one person with good camera will be super rich

Well, I am going to start working on this. What do you guys think of the contest starting in May? I don't think that the photo should have to be from the month the contest is in, but if this event is recurring, I think it should be a rule that you can not use the same photo twice. Alright, I'm going to start outlining some rules:
  • One submission per user
  • Submissions should be of ants
  • Respect the outcome of the event and be a good sport
  • Do not make fun of somebody's photo, or brag about our own
  • Please be mindful of the quality of your photo, do not submit a phot the is excessively blurring
Now for voting rules (if that is how it is going to work):
  • One vote per user
  • You may not vote for your own photo
  • Do not try to create multiple accounts to vote with
How do you think the winner should be decided? I think the best way would be for everyone to vote, in the outline of the rules I will just assume that this will be the case. Anybody who has other rules in mind, or thinks something needs reworded, please let me know. I might just do a little test of this.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

I think there should also be a rule where you shouldn't kill the ants.
For eg if you want a photo of the ant on a flower, don't kill the ant and put it on the flower.
Oh and also don't edit the photo. Keep it original

The first one sounds good, but I always crop my photos. No editing except cropping how about?

Yeah thats more precise
By editting i meant like saturation changes or adding fake colours to make the photo beautiful
Just keep the photos in original conditions

If you break a rule listed below you will be warned, and given an opportunity to fix it, but if you refuse you to comply you will be disqualified. I will give each submission a number, and to vote you will say the number of the submission you wish to vote for.
If you have an questions about the rules listed below please contact me, and I will answer them as soon as I can.

Rules (submissions):
  • One submission per user
  • Submissions should be of ants
  • Respect the outcome of the event, and be a good sport
  • Do not make fun of somebody's photo, or brag about our own
  • Please be mindful of the quality of your photo, do not submit a photo the is excessively blurry
  • Do not kill the ant you are photographing, if you need it to slow down put in the refrigerator for a bit
  • Do minimal editing, for example, cropping

Who would be interested in participating in this contest? Just wondering if people would actually be interested in this.

If you did a pic contest we all would probably have different ants.

I am interested though.

What is to stop someone taking a pic off the internet? Also I have only a few ant species at my home.
Why don’t more people like ants?
Is anyone from Wyoming who wants to sell ants?

You can email me about ants at Tucker.reynolds13@gmail.com
