I was wondering if it would be possible to keep carpenter ants in the large AntsCanada ant tower with dirt.
Thanks

That would works until they get too big.

Well I understand that. I was wondering if carpenter ants would be able to burrow in the dirt. Or if they need a pre-made formicarium.

So they can live in dirt? I thought that they would only live in wood or premade tunnels!

Most carpenter ant colonies in my area live in somewhat decomposed wood and in the soil at the same time.
