Hi.
This is my first queen. I successfully kept her in a test tube until she laid eggs and hatched a single worker, at which point she ran out of water. After several botched moves she has moved into a nest with her 1 worker but has no eggs.
I am not sure what to do.
Will she lay more eggs? I bought a test tube portal and new test tubes but can't access her without opening up (destroying) the nest I made.
Also, she refused the dead bugs I have placed in her home, though has eaten the sugar I gave her.
Now, the queen and her worker just huddle together in one of the tunnels, usually mouth to mouth.
Is there still a chance this can become a colony?

What nest have you moved her into? Pictures?

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
