Greetings!
I recently observed that my late(now dead) Odontomachus ruginodis male could climb on smooth surfaces. Before people say “Ants can climb”, Odontomachus workers and alates cannot. Has anyone else experienced this with Odontomachus?

Odontomachus Behavior

Re: Odontomachus Behavior
My old Odontomachus simillimus queen's nanitic can climb onto the ceiling without falling down, my guess is that there is something stuck onto the test tube like cotton fibres or grains of sand that allow her to do this. Maybe you should check if there is anything stuck on the smooth surfaces or it's just a trait only males can do.
