MY QUEEN TETRAMORIUM IS DYING I THINK,WHAT SHOULD I DO?

It’s curled up in a ball and will uncurl but is that curling bad?

She may actually be dying, is there any mold in the test tube?

I just began housing a new queen and noticed her doing that as well, however I believe she was just cleaning herself or preparing to lay eggs.

This looks very sad. Hope she gets well soon.

Actually, curling is usually a sign of three things. Hibernating, dying, or most likely, she is laying eggs, and pulling them of her gaster, or she's clean herself, s]just like My queen ants have done the same thing. I don't think you should worry unless they're are other signs of her dying.

I caught a Linepithema Humile queen, which is weird because they don't have nuptial flights, ant it has already started laying eggs! Any advice for this species? I also have a Pheioldie queen, any advice on this genus? I'm completely new at this... Also what hybrid nests work with L. Humile?

Opps, I horribly misspelled Pheidole.

Do be careful with L. humile, they are invasive and due to their small size, they can easily escape. Pheidole should be very easy to care for depending on the species. Both species aren't too picky and they'll eat just about anything. For a hybrid nest, maybe you can go for the Tetramorium hybrid nest as their micro holes should be smaller.

I have caught several queens. At least one is laying eggs already. As soon as I get duplicate species that have workers I would like to trade someone for a compinotus(carpenter ant) queen. That is the species I would like. I have crematogaster, formica, possible lasius, tetramorium, tapinoma sessile. I'm having difficulty telling the last 3 species apart as I am a new ant keeper.
