Broken Kit

The outworld i got for my pheidole, ant the bottom has an opening in it that came up and they started getting out (this was fresh out of the box). I'm trying to move them out of a test tube and into the living space through a tube out of the outworld and its too late to take them all out one by one. Is the bottom supposed to come up? If so, why does it not latch down and it lets ants out? Idk what to do about this other than HOPE they dont escape and seal it up once they are out of it with some kind of glue.

Update: i managed to get them into the nest. It does "Latch" down, but i didn't know that even when latched, it leaves a huge gap. I'm gonna have to seal it in instead of it being interchangeable.

One of the bits of documentation provided does mention that you should be sealing the bottom, if you aren't stacking these.

I sealed it, two-fold, first, I piped aquarium silicone into the gap (then allowed it to dry overnight), and then I used the biome kit (which you mix with water to form a paste, that solidifies).

No escapes of any sort, at least, from the bottom. :)

I have no experience with that outworld, but it seems you've got things handled now?

The spam bots ruined it. Personally I think AC should publicize the forum through his videos, I've been watching them and keeping ants for 3 years and I didn't know about the forums till about a month ago.
