Using a Hybrid Nest for a Different Species

Good Morning!!!

I've been a fan of Ants and AntsCanada for around 2 years and I'm finally ready to start my first ant colony.

My wife gave me a Formica Hybrid Nest 2.0 (with an outer world and starter kit) as a gift. However, where I live in California and many of the ants for sale around me are Camponotus. So would it be okay for me to house Camponotus ants in a nest designed for Formica? I read in the Ant Keepers Guide that it is suitable for most common species, but I just wanted to double check.

Thank you!

It's a hybrid nest suitable for multiple species. You can always add an extra nest and/or outroom if you're afraid they run out of space
