End of the first week, and both queens have laid many eggs.
First queen carrying her eggs.
Second queen laying more eggs.
I decided to name them both Romulus and Remus.

Thanks! I believe Romulus has the biggest egg count so far compared to Remus, but only time will tell which one will have the biggest colony.
Remus
Romulus
Right now its been about 1 week and three days since their capture, so hopefully in three weeks they both will have nanitics.

it is just like the tale. Romulus and Remus when't to find out who ruled and they counted all of the eagles they saw. Romulus had 12 eagles while Remus had 6. Romulus then ruled the land.

Its been 3 weeks now, and I believe both queens now have larvae. Both seem to have equal the amount of eggs, and they have adapted pretty well to their test tubes.
Romulus
Remus
Hopefully on the 4th week I will see pupae or nanitics.

Hello everyone, its been about five weeks now and I finally got a decent pic to show all of you.
Took this really quick then placed Remus back into the dark, but the process of egg to worker has been slightly longer for my ant queens, because of temperature reasons. Hopefully they will develop into workers later on in the month, but only time will tell.

Hey guys, its week 6 and I believe its nearly time for the first workers to finish growing!
This is my first time ant keeping, and seeing these two pupa near the end of their development cycle is very exciting!

Yes, I know that feeling well. Especially with Camponotus when it takes twice as long.
