Hopefully these are cool enough to be made into separate topic. The white stuff on the abdomen of the ant is toothpaste which i used to fixe the ant in place. The photos may not be as good but it was taken from a self made lense and shot on my crappy phone
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony

Better than one ant wiki species photo. I forget species, but they used a specimen missing the abdomen, so they took a shot of the abdomen on its own lol. Better specimen than that!

And when they take the images the specimens are so old you can't tell what colour it used to be.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

This is from a different lens. This one is larger than the previous one so it focuses on a larger area. Also the ant was a bit old so some features life the line on its thorax have faded away. I can use the old lens for smaller creatures

Lol. I also still can't believe that they don't have a basic info sheet like, Monogyn, sometime polygyn, etc. or Eats mostly "Flies, mealworms, seeds". Known to live in clay soil.

And somehow you cannot even really add anything since you cannot just sign up and start your own stuff. I'm actually considering to create a whole caresheet section and create one caresheet per species with subfolders to seperate, Lasius, Campo, etc.

Anyway, nice pictures. @Antloverhuman ;)
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
