Yeah, I feel the same way. Sometimes I even get mad when people think ant keeping is strange. (Inside, that is. I don't go shouting at them or anything.)

I respect wasps, if there is one near I keep my distance,
I don’t get how people can mindlessly kill wasps
The only insect that I am freaked out about is bot flies
