Dual queen ants ID please :)
hi, I got this 2 queen ants inches away from each other, can anyone help me id them please? also I would love to keep them to gather, would the two ants be ok in one test tube? they seem to like each other. thanks! oh they are about 5mm long got them in Mid MO.

super cute! but im afraid you will have to separate them, because once they get they're first workers the will fight to the death

I agree with cheetawolf, separating is better.
Can't help you with species ID sadly, nice pictures though so i'm sure someone a little more experienced can ID them for you soon

Solenopsis sp. from the molesta group. These ants are usually polygynous.

thank you for the replays, I'm going to keep them together saw a few youtube videos with many queens of this type in one colony.
