Hello Everyone,
First a little introduction because i'm new here !
I'm Wesley V. I'm from Belgium and have a crazy love for animals.
I have a 300L fresh water aquarium and did have terrarium with a beautiful Bearded Dragon.
After watching all those those very informative and caring video's from AC i have started to take interest in catching/keeping an ant-farm and have finally started searching for queens in my neighborhood to start a fresh colony!
I think i found some!
I did catch the queens on 3 Juli 2018 in Belgium. I have them for a week or 3 in a test tube setup and one did lay her first eggs.
Since i'm just started and i have tried to identify the species myself with the help of the AC video's and the website https://www.antweb.org/ its still pretty difficult for me and could use some help.
My thought is that it's Lasius Flavus or Lasius Niger. Forgive me if i'm wrong..
Here are some picture's, they are all the same species (i think) and did catch them all in the same area and on same date.

Thanks in advance!

They definitely look like my Lasius Niger queen. And the ones I cought with her (also Lasius Niger).
It most likely is Lasius Niger but I'm not an expert so it could be a different species nevertheless.

owns 1 Lasius Niger colony since 2016.

Formica most likely Fusca.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

I agree with formica.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Ok, ty all for your opinion. I'm going further with that information to plan the formicarium setup.
