Yellow/Goldish with black on head and gaster. About .5 inches(12mm) long. Caught in central Arkansas on July 22 in forested park area near a river. Pics below.

I saw some alates of similar colors leaving nests last night and went back look for queens in the morning.
I found this girl and want to know if she is a queen or not and what species this is. If she is not a queen what differences should I seek if I search the area again?

It is some form of camponotus worker, or it is semi claustral.

I would agree with a worker, but don't release her quite yet till you have a few more answers.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Camponotus most likely Americanus minor worker.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
