The big black ants are most likely the same species as your queen and they do remind me a lot of the Formica fusca that live near me, appereance and behaviour wise. Other than that not a lot can be said from this video as the ants are way too zoomed out to accurately ID.
Btw, the super aggressive forest ants you describe are most likely a Formica sp. as well... Could be either Formica rufa/polyctena or sanguinea.

They can actually spray formic acid, take care not to get that in your eyes ;)
First year of antkeeping, already enjoying it!

Currently founding:

Lasius niger
Lasius umbratus
Lasius flavus

Still hoping to find a Formica queen.

Still looking for someone more experienced to take a look, not sure what sort of environment would be the best for her and don't know if I should feed her while she is in the test tube.

She is definetely a fully claustral queen so feeding is not required untill the first workers have arrived, when that happens any small outworld will do really, just something for you to feed them in.

I actually gave her a droplet of honey and she ate the whole thing almost immediately. Now she is super bloated... But yeah still don't know which exact species is she.

@Batspiderfish maybe you would have the time (and will) to take a look and write what you think?

Sadly I'm not brilliant at ID'S but it looks like a Lasius Niger queen to me.
Ant-keeper going into his 4th year of loving ants!
