First Ant Queen!

Hey all.
I caught my first queen ant today!!! I had collected a male and a female alate but upon further viewing, I noticed that they might both be female alates. So I went back to where I had collected the alates and on the way- Bam! Queen Ant! Anyway... I need help identifying it. Here's the pics:

I wont be able to help with specifics, but could you please post measurements, and city/state where you found them? Will greatly help others identify for you.

I would say she is of formica sp however

Right. She's around 1.2 cm and was caught in Lethbridge Alberta Canada.
