Help with identifying the species your ants

I need help to identify her spieces I think its probably a formica cunicularia but I might just e wrong since I'm a noobie so I need help I caught her about 2 weeks ago in France in "Franche-Comte" ( region ) if it might help.

If its too low quality to see I can also try to make it better if needed so let me know if you need a better image quality.
And also I haven't measured her so if its also needed I'll do it right away.

Yes that works!
Honestly i'm not sure what it is, so you'll have to wait on batspiderfish for a postive ID
But i think it is a Formica sp.
First year of antkeeping, already enjoying it!

If you get some slightly better photos I could probably help you narrow down the species. She's slightly smaller than Formica queens typically but perfect size for Laisus. Does she have any hair on her gastor? Lasius Neoniger is one of the more common Laisus species in the US and they have a kind of gold or yellowish colored hair on their gastors. Kind of shiny.

It would be something from France. Most of the time, Lasius identification is moderately difficult, since you need enough magnification to see the hairs on the antennal scapes and the teeth on the mandibles, at least. Just put a "cf." between the genus and species whenever you find what you think it looks like.

Ok. Yeah, I am definitely not familiar with species of other countries.
