Niger or flavus??

I found this queen along with around 15 others after a niger nuptial. Whilst it’s not massively clear in the picture it is different to the rest in that it has distinct yellow bands around it’s gastor compared to the others. Otherwise size location and time were the same. Having never caught one before is this a flavus queen?

This was caught in late June in Suffolk England and is the size of a lasius niger.

Most likely L. niger.

I was gonna say, im no expert but she looks like the Lasius Niger I caught

I've kept both before and a good way to tell is to look at the legs. L.Flavus have orange legs. Whilst L.Niger are all black.

That’s interesting, these have yellow/orange legs.
