Identify these queens
I found 3 Queens in June Navarra / Spain there are about 7mm long. Help me to identify these queens
Re: Identify these queens
Can you add pictures or a link to some please?
Research is important before during and even after you have established a colony. There is always time to learn and to listen to others experiences. Live by this and your ants will thrive. Fail to do so and your experience may be brief.
Re: Identify these queens
Can you help me identifying my queen ants?

Re: Identify these queens
Could you help me to identify my Queens, too?
I'm new to ant keeping and these are the first queens I caught.
I live near to Cologne/Germany and found both of them yesterday.
But I really have no clue how to identify them as there are quite a few species looking similar to them.
The only thing I am sure about is that they are both the same species.

Re: Identify these queens
Thank you really much!:)
But I think I won't need a better idea. After looking up for Lasius Niger I'm now pretty sure you are right. When I tried to identify the species myself I was a bit overwhelmed by all the different kinds. From all the pictures I've seen this looks the most similar to it! It fits in perfect:D

Hi AC Family,
I came across your channel and have loved every episode!!
I’ve been wanting to start my own Ant farm but from locally caught queens...I’ve been looking for weeks now and have finally come across this beautiful lady on my walk...Now I’m super new to this so not even 100% sure it’s an Ant...
Please can you view pic and let me know if I’ve actually managed to capture and queen and possibly what species?
Caught 14/07/2018 in NL, Amsterdam...precisely 9mm from Jaws to tip of Gastor
