Posible Ant queen ID

So i recently requested id for a posible ant queen i mean i saw wing scars and everything on her but she's tiny (about 0.8mm) Caught her in Querétaro, Mexico that is located near the center of the country. Took some more pictures Also that's a temporary setup she will be just a few hours in

That looks a lot like the solenopsis queen I have.

This does look a lot like Solenopsis Queen, however, I cannot ID this for sure .8 mm seems a bit small for the fire ant species. Please check to make sure this measurement is right.

Id be willing to bet she's 0.8 cm not mm as stated above, making her about 8mm in length. Proper size for a solenopsis queen.

I do not know if Solenopsis Queens can sting however I would caution you to be extremely careful both when founding this colony and transferring the queen into a setup.

Ok thanks for the info. I'm very very aware of this ants sting so i will try to keep that in mind and will transfer her to a test tube asap.

It looks like a parasitic Formica queen. She will need a few Formica pupae and/or some Formica workers, of a non-parasitic species.

Are you sure she is? Because if she is and treat her as a Solenopsis she won't be able to grow a colony but if i try to do the parasitic process and she really isn't i could hurt her and/or die :S
