I captured this ant and i want to know if it's a queen and the species. She's aprox. 8 mm long, kinda red-ish and was captured today (9:40am) after a storm last night in Querétaro, México wich is located almost at the center of the country.

Re: Queen ant?
Queens can sting like workers, although yes, I agree that it is hard to see the queen. Most likely Pheidole.
