Is this a Queen Ant?

Hello so on the walk home today from the park I had noticed what may be a queen ant. Not taking the risk to lose her I caught her in a empty pringles container till I can get a test tube. It seems she might be a carpenter ant but that's the best guess. Here are some photos to help out. However it does appear she has a rounded thorax. Can provide more photos if needed.
