Queen? Species?

Hi, just found this today in central NJ, the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a bright orange with rings around the end of its gaster. It’s around 7mm AND VERY FAST.

Although it doesn’t look like the large, furry, red and black striped ones—that’s a velvet ant. It’s not actually an ant, however, it is a wasp. They have an incredibly painful sting so be careful with it.
