Okay, So im not quite sure if this is a camponotus queen or not i found her with many others that look similar to her on June 2 in Lubbock tx. I need help identifying her to make sure that she is one and possibly a genus ? Tell me what you think here's the link to the pics she is 5mm long and has her first broad. http://imgur.com/gallery/rc3Zzw7

This is a queen you can tell from the first and even better the second one I can’t tell you the genus or species but if you look at the first photo and look at the middle it’s not thin but wide and in the second one I can make out wing scars and like AntsCanada stated it has a big gaster and a plateau shaped middle

If the measurement is accurate, that would make her Forelius pruinosus.

If she's 8mm, then Dorymyrmex becomes a possibility, but that distinction would require better photographs.

Okay so which genus would it be with the yellow strips on her gaster. Is there a specific focal point for the pictures so you can identify her better ?

Here are more pics which probably don't help all that much because i don't have the best camera. http://imgur.com/gallery/o6gOX5e
